I wish to thank everyone that was involved with the process; from the start of meeting Mrs. Roberta, the starting of the financial class and establishing of credit and cleaning of credit report, to looking for homes and meeting real estate agents and to building my home. This would not have been possible without the help of Mrs. Maureen Wilson & Deborah Scanlan. They were always there when I needed them. Just being able to call or come in and talk with someone about what was going on with the process of getting my home was just a tremendous blessing. They instilled in me a sense of discipline in managing my money in which I am so grateful it's has help me so much in all area of my life.

My name is Sherry Teartt and I am a first-time homeowner. I thought buying a home would take years of savings and credit preparation. I was wrong; it took me only six months to receive the keys to my home. I can’t possibly thank St. Petersburg Neighborhood Housing Services enough for their support during my home buying experience.From the orientation, the one-on-one counseling sessions, the Financial Fitness classes, and the homebuyer education program, thanks so much for helping me with such a great opportunity. "With a determined mindset, Donna began her quest to become a homeowner ..."

Donna Pepe is a single mother striving to secure a future for herself and her two children, Nicholas and Anthony. She is a self-employed massage therapist/skin care specialist. With a determined mindset, Donna began her quest to become a homeowner following a divorce and other changes in her life. She learned about SPNHS through the St. Petersburg Housing Authority, and enrolled in the program. She participated in the counseling sessions and graduated from the Financial Fitness and Homebuyer Education Programs. She is now a proud first-time homeowner.

Donna loves gardening so she was very excited to be able to work with plants and garden in her new yard. She is also worked on decorating on a budget and saving for future major expenditures for her home. Donna credits the SPNHS Program – the counselors and educators – with helping her learn how to prioritize her spending, how to establish good savings habits, and to budget in order to manage spending. She highly recommends the program.

My name is Kewa Wright and I have a daughter named Chanel. I work for the City of St. Petersburg where I am an Administrative Aide to the City Council members. I decided I was ready to buy a home. I contacted SPNHS and went to an orientation. I attended all the required classes within a 2-3 month time span. The classes were very helpful, and they instilled in me a sense of discipline in managing my money. SPNHS was very helpful throughout my house buying process and I will recommend their services and their program to anyone trying to purchase a home.
