Since 1999, SPNHS has helped nearly 500 families to own their own homes. Now, we are setting a new goal for ourselves: by 2010, we will help another 500 families to own homes. And how are we going to do it? The same way we always have – through the generous support of our partners: housing and banking professionals, local government, businesses, community leaders, neighborhood residents, and concerned citizens like you.

St. Petersburg Neighborhood Housing Services, Incorporated (SPNHS) is a private nonprofit organization recognized as exempt from federal income tax under section 501©3 of the Internal Revenue Code.  We are also classified as a public charity under section 509(a)2 of the Code.  Contributions are deductible under section 170 of the Code, and we are qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.  We are organized under the laws of the State of Florida and our corporate status is active.  SPNHS is certified to participate in the Florida Community Contribution Tax Credit Program.  This certification provides businesses, who make eligible contributions to our approved project, an opportunity to apply for a tax credit or sales tax refund equal to fifty percent of the value of their contribution against their Florida Corporate Income Tax, Florida Insurance Premium Tax or Sales and Use Tax.  Please contact us for more information.
